Excellent arc stability and precision output of the welding current The stability of the welding current is a determining factor in the quality of a weld. Our PS 164 power source provides precise welding current output even at low values.
- Two current ranges: 50 Amp. and 160 Amp.: the 50 Amp. version gives 1% precision for your welding current and can be programmed by 1/10 of one amp increments.
- An integrated active surveillance device in the heart of the control system: if the limit of tolerance is exceeded, the equipment shuts itself off instantly and gives an error message telling you the type of fault.

Complete traceability for all welding parameters The welding parameters can be archived in two different ways:
- Direct printing of a control ticket from the power source.
- Recording of values onto a Compact Flash (CF) card with transfer to a computer for archiving and exploiting.

Extremely low weld seam oxidation thanks to a continuous purging device Weld seam oxidation can be significantly reduced by a continuous small amount of argon flow across the welding head. The power source automatically tilts the slow purge gas flow towards the protective gas flow during the weld. |
 |
Absolute guarantee of a non oxidized weld seam An oxygen meter can be interfaced with the power source. The welding cycle can only start when placed below the pre-defined threshold. |
|
|
Gas circuit kept separate until it enters the weld heads chamber The welding gas remains pure upon entry into the weld heads chamber: essential to ensure the weld quality and assembled parts are free of pollution.
UHP - closed weld head
MW - closed weld head
