Longitudinal seam welder for automatic welding
Seam welders are used for longitudinal welding of rolled sheet metal envelops
like vessels and tanks. A particular application is continuous strip welding. Perfect mechanical positioning of the work pieces has to be ensured by an adapted clamping device allowing butt welding up to a wall thickness of 8 to 10 mm in conjunction with the Plasma keyhole process. TIG/GTAW cold/hot wire and MIG-MAG/GMAW are complementary welding processes. The seam welder is interfaced with our NC-weld control and becomes part of the integrated fully synchronised
system.
