Plasma welding versatile solutions

As an extension of TIG, Plasma arc welding has a much higher arc energy density and higher plasma gas velocity under the plasma being forced through a constriction nozzle.
Polysoude has acquired expertise in plasma welding for over the years and offers a wide range of equipment from orbital to seam welder solutions.
Each equipment can be used for different applications and can weld the most common metals up to a thickness of approximately 10 mm.

Many advantages can be seen by using plasma welding:
– Mechanical constriction of the arc by water-cooled nozzle: enables welding of greater thickness in standard square butt preparation
– Increased welding speed up to 500 mm/min, depending on materials and thickness

Welding lathe

Thanks to the modular concept, the welding lathe adapts to various diameters, lengths and weights of tubes and pipes

Seam welder

The TIG and particularly the Plasma processes are used with a seam welder. The clamping system aligns and positions both ends to be welded face to face without any gap
